The Open Company screen has two options for adding a new company as seen on the buttons below;



Usually only the top button "Create a New Company" will be used, selecting this button will display the following screen;



Simply enter the company name and the sub-directory name (no spaces permitted) where this company's new files will be created and stored.


If you have previously created other companies and set up common files like General Ledger accounts and Depreciation codes you can copy these files from the existing company to the new company you wish to create.  This will save the effort of re-doing the creation of these files.


Add an Existing Company


This will only be used if you have to re-install the system (usually when updating to a new computer).  After installing the system you simply copy the existing company directories to the new computer and using this button you will be able to select the directories and add the existing companies to the new installation.
